Data transfers

In order to facilitate the completion of DTIAs (Data Transfer Impact Assessments), in accordance with the Practical Guide of the CNIL, the mechanism for describing transfers is evolving with the following objectives:

  • Enable a precise description of each data transfer.
  • Integrate data protection levels by country, as published on data.gouv, and exploited in the interactive mapping of the CNIL.
  • To provide an overview of the transfers underway in the organisation for better management.
  • Document applicable legislation by country.

These developments are the first building blocks needed to create DTIA, which will then simply need to be assembled.
